Sweden - Tanum strand

Since the AFS-camp I have not really been travelling a lot. But as soon as I moved to Oslo to study, I got all the possibilities to travel a little more then normaly. I usually travel around in Oslo area pretty often. It has become much easier to travel since that Oslo probably has the best public transport system in Norway. I love to travel by metro a lot, although during the rush hour when I have to stand and the metro is crowded. I will not update you about all the small travels in Oslo, because that is more or less unessessary.

I have been traveling abroad once, to Sweden. My aunt turned 80 years old, and she wanted to collet all her children and grand children. I was included, because I took good care of her when she was in Thailand with me and my family in 2004-2005. She always tells me that she is thankful that I took good care of her. Eventhough I was 14 years old back then, I would say I was responsible. Anyways, I went to Sweden, Tanum strand, to celebrate my aunt's birthday.

I will not post pictures of people, exept me. Cause to the law of posting pictures on the Internet, you should not post picture of the person in the public without their permission. I have not asked anyone of them for the permission, so I decided just to post pictures of food and fabulous view.


4th September 2010
We, me, my cousin and her family started the travel to Sweden at 11 am. I was a little bit exited to meet the rest of the family, especially those who I have not seen for ages... We checked in as we arrived, and I was so lucky because I got the suite together with my aunt. The suite was really nice. On the balcony we got a great panorama. After I left my bags in the suite I went down to meet the others and also have a sandwich with shripms, which was really huge. My cousin, Vigdis, treated me to luch. That was so nice of her. I was so glad to see everybody again, and also meet new people, like boy- or girlfriends to my relatives. It was so nice to hear what they are doing and so on. So, yes, I had a really good time there. After that everyone went to their rooms and got ready for the party. The evening started in the suite and there where about 20 people in that room. For me it was kind of fine, I do not really take much space... Haha, that is adventage being petite, you see! Alright, after we finished we went down and had delicious five-dishes-menu. I liked the most of them, because I usually are not that picky when it comes to food. After we finished eating we just hang around and had conversations. BUT, during the time that we ate. I had to excuse myself to go outside and take pictures, and I DO NOT regret for being rude. It was so totally worth it!

We actually had a soup before this one, but I forgot to take the picture. The third dish. Fish. Yummy!

The forth dish. Meat. Delicious sauce. The meat was raw and I started to get full, so I did not finished this plate.

The fifth dish. Creme brulee. Outstanding good!!! My favourite part of party dinner is the dessert, always!

5th September 2010
I woke up at 7 a.m. I and my aunt took a strole around the area of the hotel. What I really liked by that moment was the water was standing still, the air is fresh and it is quiet. And I did for once sake enjoyed the sunlight, because it was early in the morning and the sun was not that strong. At 9 a.m., I guess, we had breakfast. There was breakfast buffet!!! Oh my goodnees, I love buffet! After breakfast we packed our stuffs, said good bye and headed home.

I had a wonderful weekend in Sweden. I really enjoyed spending times with my norwegian family. I am really glad that they took so good care of me and that I got so warmth welcome the first time I met all of them. I want to say thank you for everything. I love you! Eventhough I had a good time there, my mind was stuck on my boyfriend, who probably missed me and wanted me back...

The last thing I would add in this post is that I am in the middle of the exams periode. I already had three exams and I am about to have the last one in next week.. But I will be back as soon as possible to post about the trip to Bergen before I get holiday. This Christmas holiday I will be spending a in Sweden with my boyfriend, just a long weekend though, and after that I will go to Switzerland to visit my hostfamily. Of course I will update you about the trips. I do look forward to go to Switzerland. Because I will probably travel around a lot when I first got there with my bestmate! For those who do not know what to do in the holiday, here is my recommendation: FOLLOW THIS AWESOME(?) BLOG! Hehe.
