Bergen part I

I traveled to Bergen many months ago. Since that I was not finished updating all about the India trip back then, I could not update you about the Bergen trip. The live as a student has being great so far, but I have to admit that it is kind of stressful aswell. Especially when it comes to exams! I was so stressed that I lost so much of my hair in the shower, which really freaked me out! But I am so glad it is over for this year... So I can enjoy my winter holiday and relax. Right now I am located in Sweden, at Mariestad, with my lovely boyfriend. His parents have an appartment here, which they allowed us to use during the stay. We are going to stay here for a couple of days. So far so great! I promise to update you about this trip too, but not before this journey is over.

Bergen is the next largest city in Norway. I have never been there before so I know very little about the city. Fortunately I have my bestfriend, Solfrid, who lives there. It is so nice to know people around the world(and the country), so you can visit them and maybe ask them if they would like to show you around a little...

Anyways. I never traveled over 6 hours by train before, so that was kind of nice, but also pain in the neck. First of all, you just sit there for 6-7 hours. If you try to sleep I would say that would be impossible, unless you just had 2 hours of sleep last night. And YES, the train was delayed. Secondly, two seats next to me there was an old lady who smelled like pee. I am not kidding and there is nothing wrong with my nose, it was born to be very sensitive. Everytime she moves I could smell it. I guess I was just had bad luck that day.. Thirdly, I lost connection in at least two hours, so it was so hard for me to send a message to my friend that my train was delayed. Everytime I tried to send a message we suddenly got in a tunnel, as we came out I tried again but then I hardly got the connection again and whoop! -we are in another tunnel, again! These 3 things that I mentioned are things that I disliked about the trip, otherwise it was okey to travel by train. If you have time and want to see the Norwegian landscape, you better should travell by train then plain. You can book tickets HERE, and you should first of all check out the "Minipris" which would be a good idea if you do not want to spend a lot of money.

So I arrived around 16 o'clock. Solfrid was standing there and waited for me, it was so nice to see her again! I stand very close to her. We can chat over the phone for hours, we tell secrets(and also keep them secret), we fully trust each other, we talk about everything, we listen to each other's problem or news and I have magic power to feel when Solfrid is about to do her bad habbit(which is not really bad, actually). What we did first of all was get back to her single-room to drop the baggage. Then we went a little bit through the city, before we sat down at a restaurant named "Nama" and had sushi. Yummi stuffs! More information about the restaurant HERE And after we finished eating delicious meal, we took a trip up to the mountain with the Fløibanen, just to get a view of the city. How it was? It was fabulous!

The Fløybanen that we took was named "Rødhette", which is "Red Riding Hood".
