Christmas visit in Switzerland(Geneva)

Have you missed me? I have truely missed you too! Oh, dear! It is long time ago. Last time I updated was the 1st January... Would you not like to hear where I have been since then? The answer is easy; London. When I think back in time, it seems like I have not been at home at all.. The time is passing away day by day and a lot has happened since the new year. Something tenses to happen too often, that I really got used to. And something special may show up, but then it dissapeared again... All I got left is the memory.

Geneva is a great city. By great, I mean it litterally great too, like "huge". Personally Geneva is one of my favourite cities in Switzerland. Here are some random facts that my swiss family and friends told me about the city: 1) Geneva is a great watch-city, many of popular watch brands come from this city. I know that Rolex own this city! 2) The UN office is placed there. As much as I know there are only two UN offices in the world, the other one is in New York, of course. 3) There is a french speaking canton, named Jura. The Jura mountain starts in Northern-Switzerland and ends in Geneva. Behind this mountain you can see France. 4) The Lake of Geneva is huge, probably one of the biggest(or perhaps the biggest) lake in Switzerland. 5) There are many Frenchmen who take the train to Geneva everyday just to go to work. It is because they earn much better in Switzerland.

I have been in Geneva a couple of time. I have been in the UN building, seen the conferance halls where the important represents from all over the world meet. I have been at the botanic garden, which is huge and you can find all types of plants. I have been walking around in the old city, which I cannot explain where it could be. I saw the University of Geneva from the distance. The old cathedral, the shopping street with popular brands' shop, like Louis Vuitton... I have seen the Flower Clock at Jardin Anglais(English Garden). I have seen Jet d'eau, the Water Fontain. This fontain is amazing, it was provided with an autonomous pumping station, propelling 500 litres of water per second to a height of 140 metres at a speed of 200 km per hour! Anyways, this time I went there with a friend of mine, Chris. He was my AFS-boss during my exchange year. After that we have been keeping contact untill the day today. It was really nice to see him again and it was so nice to update each other what we both have been up to since last time we met. We were pretty lucky, since we found a date which fits both of us to meet, I mean, 3 weeks are not that much...

I still have not figured out how I can post pictures here, since I have overused the photo-posting-limit... So, you will have to click on a link to watch the pictures. To watch pictures please CLICK HERE!

I promise not to take that long till the next time!
