The journey to/in India part V

Hi, I am finally back! The clock is over midnight and I just had a dance rehearsal. It is too hot to fall asleep now and my body is too sweaty! Yuck. But let us just go on with the India trip part 5.

So we arrived in Corbett on the evening of 1st April. We rented rooms at Corbett Countyy. It was the end of the tourist season, so we had really peaceful time there. Untill they started a machine early in the morning, because they stop using eletricity when it turns to the day. This happens only in the low season. I find the idea clever, but unfortunately the machine made such loud noice that it was impossible to sleep longer. We had delicious breakfast: jam toast and butter jam. The air filled in my lung that morning, it was fresh and the atmosphere was just perfect to relax! Outside our door there is a garden, where we can sit under a tree and read a book, or sitting in the sun and get tan. I do recommend you this resort. The bed might be too hard for some of you, but for me it was perfect! One of us checked what was under the bed. He found out that the underlay was made of concrete, then the thick mattress made of dried coconut rind. I love such mattress, because it is hard to lay on and it is impossible to dig a hole through it(like my mattress I use at home, which is made of foam..).

Later that day we rent jeeps to Tiger Safari. I hoped to see a tiger, but there was no way that we could see them. Because it was in the end if the tourist season and a time between summer and monsoon, they had to burn the forest. There are several reasons why they do so. 1. They burn all of the dried leaves away. So the risk that the forest starts to burn by itself is lower. 2. It is in the end of the tourist season. 3. They also burn the grass. After they finished doing this, the monsoon time will come. Then the grass will grow and be really green, because the rain has reached into the ground. Unfortunately we were one of the few tourists who could experience this. Cause to the situation the tiger must have escaped to another place. I mean, who can stand the heat of the fire?!! It means that we did not see any tiger on that trip. But we saw a deer and many small monkeys. The trip took about 2 hours. An hour up, then some minutes break up there, then down again. The trip was really hot, dirty(because of the dust) and also very bumpy. I do not recommend the person with astma, or bad back to such adventure, neither the pregnant ladies.

But before you go on a tiger safari. There are many things you should pay attention to, such as what colour you should wear. You should not wear colourful clothes, that means no red, no pink, no yellow, nor purple. Just wear natural colours, like green, brown or black. You can also wear white, but at your own risk! I guarantee you that the white clothes you want to wear will turn light brown after the trip! believe me, white is not a good idea! Then you should not make noice during the trip, you might not scream the tigers away, but the other animals. Do not forget a bottle with water! It is smart, if you have got a handkerchief to cover your nose and mouth when the dust covers your jeep(it happens almost all the time though). And make sure that you have applied the sun lotion before you leave the hotel. And remember using the sun lotion is no gay. It is just healthy for your skin.

I hope you enjoy the pictures!

This is our jeep and our driver.
The end station, where we took some minutes break. And you can buy something to eat or drink there as well.
I forgot to mention that we also saw two black puppies!
On the way down it was the time for sunset. The sun gave such beautiful light, as you can see here.
And so our driver thought he is a racer. He wanted to pass a man on his motorcycle, but then it did not go very well. The man on his motorcycle fell off his motorcycle and hit himself on his head. He did bleed. Suddenly an elephant came going toward us, that was charming though, but just in a wrong time.
The man who got hurted met someone he knew and them brought him to the nearest hospital. Ah, but it was freaking scary... The accident could have been much worse!
As we arrived the resort, I weped my face. And here is the result, dear people! So dirty!
